MMA Air Wing Camp Programs:
The Air Wing camps are held at the Marine Military Academy in Harlingen, Texas and includes flight experience for boys ages 13+.

We offer a one-week flight encampment, a two-week flight encampment (with the potential for solo-flight by most campers) and a one-month flight add-on in conjuction with the Marine Military Academy Summer Camp program.

One-Week Flight Encampment:
Boys (13 years or older), signing up for the one-week Flight Encampment will receive up to 10-hours of flight training from an FAA certified flight instructor (CFI). Ground school studies, as well as aviation related excursions are included to further enhance their experience.

All flights are conducted under the supervision of the flight instructor in a safe and controlled environment allowing all age groups to participate.

Two-Week Flight Encampment:
For our older students (15 years or older), we offer a two-week Flight Encampment, which is a focused aviation experience designed to train the applicant in each of the basic flight maneuvers required prior to solo flight.

This Encampment includes up to 15-hours of flight instruction, often enough to become qualified to fly the airplane solo.

NOTE: Student must be 16 by the end of camp in order to solo

MMA Summer Camp Flight Add-On:
The Marine Military Academy Summer Camp program, for boys, (ages 13-17) introduces numerous activities that challenge them both mentally and physically. Summer campers can choose to add on an Aerospace Elective allowing them to receive Safety Briefings, Ground Instruction and 5 flights in one of our Cessna 152 or 172 aircraft under the supervision of our FAA certified pilots in a safe and controlled environment.
